A software-interface reference
The official record identifies UCSI as the USB Type-C Connector System Software Interface specification. The page does not state that every Type-C product needs this interface, so applicability should be determined from the product architecture.
Keep layers separate
Connector geometry, power behavior and host software control are related but separate design layers. Requirements and test evidence should therefore be mapped to the correct specification instead of being grouped under a broad “USB-C” label.
Why the update matters
The update helps explain why Type-C product development may involve more than connector selection. It is relevant background for connected charging products, but it is not certification evidence for a Shengyu model.
