3GRACE TECHNICAL NOTE
Read the rating and the configuration separately
A current rating describes an electrical limit; the face configuration describes the plug connection. For GFCIs, distinguish the receptacle rating from any feed-through or contact rating stated in the instructions. Do not identify the complete configuration from the model name or a product photograph alone.
Compare complete model records
On this website, open the exact 15A and 20A model records and use the comparison page to review the available current, voltage, features and certification references. A dash means the value has not been provided; it is not an alternative electrical rating.
Confirm the installation requirements
The branch circuit, conductors, connected load and locally adopted requirements must be assessed together. Choosing a higher number is not a substitute for checking compatibility. Use the exact product instructions and a qualified electrician for the installation decision.
What to ask before purchase
Provide the destination market, circuit requirements, intended load, required TR or WR functions and exact model. Request the installation instructions and applicable certification documents when the public product record does not answer the question.
